The Garden Without God

Behind a pro-life position is a spiritual conflict. The enemy's goal is the Garden without God — and because Satan cannot kill God directly, he goes after what reflects God: His image-bearers, especially the most innocent. Scripture shows this pattern throughout history, from child sacrifice to Molech to the more recent history of Planned Parenthood.

The enemy's strategy is a direct reversal of God's command in Genesis 1:28 to "be fruitful and multiply" — carried out through eugenics, population control, dehumanization, and willing participation from mankind, often advanced through the sexual revolution and enforced through guilt and shame that silence dissent or manufacture support.

Common objections — rape, the life of the mother, women's rights, "my body, my choice" — deserve honest engagement, not dismissal (see week 2 notes for a fuller treatment). And the real cost of abortion is significant: the sheer scale of lives lost, generations never realized, and the lasting toll on both women and men who carry the weight of it.

But this isn't a message meant to leave anyone in shame. Grace and redemption are found in Jesus — for women and for men. The pain of your past can become part of your purpose; God is in the business of turning ashes into beauty. The woman at the well took the first step toward Jesus. Now it's your turn to step forward.
