Big things happen because you do little things consistently well — they compound over time. Oak trees don't grow overnight; they grow from small, consistent practices sustained over years. The same is true for us: the spiritual disciplines we return to again and again are what slowly shape us into something strong. And strength doesn't always mean rigid — palm trees are nearly impossible to uproot precisely because they're designed to bend in hurricane winds, while cedar stands as one of the strongest woods on the planet. Whether it's the flexibility to bend without breaking or the strength to stand firm, both come from the same source: being planted — in the church, and in His presence, the house of the Lord.
